The Grab: 02.26

Oi, what rhymes with lager? Cup? Carling?
Sunday's riveting League Cup final between Chelsea and Arsenal provided fans with a thoroughly entertaining game, Captain Three Lions knocked out cold and an unfortunate reason for calling this particular tie the Snarling Cup Final (thank God for the wealth of Brit witticisms). Arsenal's Manu Adebayor and the Blues' John Obi Mikel have appealed to the FA to contest their dismissals. [CBC Canada, Guardian Unlimited]

Ooof, mah dose!
Peter Crouch, unwilling to allow the England Captain have fifteen minutes of horrible fame, had his schnoz busted on Saturday by Sheffield United striker Rob Hulse in the Reds' 4-0 victory at Anfield. The robotic England striker should be available for Manchester United's visit to Anfield on Saturday. [Daily Mirror]

Hey Lula, don't even think of calling me Gordo . . . .
Problems at Camp Nou? We don't got no stinkin' problems. Barcelona further de-legitimize the Catalan press by trouncing Athletic Bilbao 3-0. Apparently, Ronnie's waistline is a sore point for the Brazilian dynamo, at least much more than the matter surrounding his teeth. And Samuel Eto'o marks his returnwith a goal, set up by none other than Ronaldhino.
