Word from the Italian daily La Stampa is that Javier Mascherano is the key target for Juventus coach Didier Deschamps in January. Aware of the Argentine's problems in adapting to the style of play in the EPL, Didi will push his board to make West Ham an offer they can't refuse during the midseason transfer window. Juve tried for Mascherano over the summer before his move to West Ham and the Frenchman is desperate to bring him to Turin, where his only true holding midfielder is youngster Matteo Paro. In other Juve news:
Club president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli let's us know what he really thinks about the players that left the club. Seems that Zlatan Ibrahimovic hurt his feelings. [Tribal Football]
Nicola Legrottaglie looks set to restart his Juve career. The defender should add a little steel to the back line. [Juventus official site]
And continuing the story from yesterday, Inter owner Massimo Moratti stepped infront of the microphones today and attacked the real villan: the media. Oh, remember Christian Vieri? Add his name to this drama's sorry list of characters. [Channel 4]

At this point, I'd like Mascherano to go to even Serie B as long as he can regain the form he's lost playing in the EPL. Argentina can't afford to have its first choice holding midfielder in that kind of condition.
