Past Champions and Finalists Advance To The $$$

FK Austria Wien players walk off the pitch disappointed after losing to Benfica 3-0 in the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League Third Round Qualifying tie. The Austrian club didn't make it easy for themselves after giving up a first-leg away goal in Vienna.

Benfica scored twice in the first half before Petit put it beyond doubt in the fifty-seventh minute. Benfica also contributed to Portuguese soccer history by ensuring that Portugal will have three teams in the group stage for the first time in UEFA club history. Benfica will join FC Porto and Sporting Club de Portugal in Thursday's group stage draw. It can be seen live at 12p Eastern on Setanta Sports USA (in English) and ESPN Deportes (in Spanish). The fact that AC Milan were allowed to participate in the Champions League just further signifies how crap the Italian FA is; how did the investigation start with so many accused clubs with only Juve going down . . . belissimma
