Is La Volpe Ready For Bombonera Hotseat?

A source close to the management at Boca Juniors is claiming that Ricardo La Volpe will be handed the coaching position on September 15th. The club has not announced anything officially as of yet, but the naming of La Volpe as the head man at La Bombonera has been the worst kept secret in Argentina. He will try to keep the ship running smoothly under the watchful eye of Diego Maradonna who watches every home game from his luxury box.

La Volpe will take over from Alfio Basile, who moves on to the Argentine National Team for the second time in his coaching career. Basile is in charge until the 14th next month because it is the date of the second leg of the two-legged Recopa Sudamericana final against Sao Paulo of Brazil.
