It's About Time Someone Put Together That List

The Kin of Fish has put together a preliminary list of "Famous Jewish Soccer Legends." A great idea whose time has finally come.

I was ready to add the Daily Show's Jon Stewart and Jose Pekerman (if he'd been hired), but David Keyes of the excellent Culture of Soccer beat me to it in the comments section. If you can think of any of God's Chosen People who haven't made the list, drop Mr. Fish a line.

Sadly, all I can think of in reading that title is the movie "Airplane," where the flight attendant is offering reading materials (those were the days) and a woman asks, "Don't you have something light?" At which point the flight attendant hands her a tri-fold brochure and says, "Famous Jewish Sports Legends?"

Sorry to make light of a serious topic that's past due for discussion. But it is not my fault and I can't help it.

Classic reference Laurie. I imagine that you're fluent in Jive as well?

Some of my other favorites:

>"There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?"
>"What was it we had for dinner tonight?"/"Well, we had a choice of steak or fish."/"Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna."
>"Excuse me, I happened to be passing, and I thought you might like some coffee."/"Oh, that's very nice of you, thank you."/"Cream?"/"No, thank you, I take it black, like my men."
>"No wonder you're upset. She's lovely. And a darling figure... supple, pouting breasts... firm thighs. It's a shame you two don't get along."
