Vengence Is Mine

Martin Palermo struck three times tonight away to Estudiantes de La Plata, exacting a bit of revenge for last season's title-loss to Diego Simeone's side. Not only did Boca Juniors go some way towards laying to rest last season's ghosts, they put themselves back into the mix at the top of the table. Boca now lie just two points behind leaders Arsenal de Sarandí, who play tomorrow against River Plate.

Palermo's hat trick helped los Xeneizes get the bad taste out of their mouth after getting taken behind the woodshed last weekend by San Lorenzo. How ironic that on the same day that a certain 19-year-old lit up Real Madrid for three goals, el Loco does the same in Argentina, at the tender age of 33. Argentina sure knows how to produce a goal scorer.

If you missed the match, Telemundo will be re-airing it tomorrow at 1pm ET. Sunday's big game between Arsenal and River will be shown live at 3pm ET on FOX Sports en Espanol and on FSC on tape delay at 2am ET on Monday.
