The Grab Bag: Friday

Fashionistas, WAG-wannabes, and pretty much any fan of an assless mediocre popstar, the wait is nearly over. VB (Victoria Beckham, not Bitter) is finally coming out with her book on style, titled that extra half inch. While I applaud the, er, style icon for tipping her hat to ee cummings with her lowercase literature, who can't argue that her intentions, just as her "style" is a bit flawed, if not unsolicited? Either way, every shallow Essex girl will have to wait until the 30th to get her chip grease-stained paws on this one. Here's a taste. [dvb style]

In other Beckham news, Plymouth gaffer Ian Holloway gives his opinion on the current rumors surrounding our favorite over-the-hill, one-dimensional midfielder riding the pine in Madrid. Apparently, somebody thinks the Leytonstone lad should be knighted. Hopefully, this will bring more publicity to the good things VB is doing (see above). [BBC Sport, Daily Express]

Roberto Mancini will look to keep a share of the top spot in Serie A, as Inter take on Milan at the Meazza in the Milan derby, perhaps the biggest match yet in the season. With Milan still climbing up the table after digging themselves out of their match-fixing penalty, the Rossoneri will look to make Mancini's job more difficult, but don't worry Roberto, if Sven gets the Hammers job, you can look after the Argies, or find secretaries for the horny Swede. Here's a little background on the derby. [Channel 4, Guardian, Eurosport]
