The Big Boys Come Out To Play

Alessandro Del Piero scored his 199th goal for Juventus in their 4-0 win today against Modena. The result still leaves the Turin club seventeen points behind Serie B leaders Brescia, who beat Verona 1-0 today. Veterans David Trezeguet (2) and Pavel Nedved contributed to the scoresheet as well.

Coach Didier Deschamps is happy to see his team playing well, even if they weren't able to gain on the league leaders. Juve seems to have finally gotten over the impact of playing in Serie B. Didi remarked, "Definitely, we took to the field again today with the right mentality and if we can match the opposition on a competitive level, our technique will make the difference. Now it's up to us to make sure we always go out there with the same attitude."

No word after the game if he feels that his team have touched Italy's second division yet, stay tuned.
