Roma's Got A Beef

Everything seems to have come out pretty evenly for every Serie A club after fixture list was announced yesterday. The only club to show any kind of public displeasure has been Roma. Luciano Spalletti's side is none to pleased about a string of matches that sees them playing Juventus(h), Fiorentina(a), Inter (h), Parma(a), Napoli(h), Milan(a), and Lazio in the Derby della Capitale.

Club director Antonio Tempestilli didn't mince any words: "Objectively speaking looking at this fixture list, I can say that Roma have been treated worse than all the other big clubs." Maybe it's karma for beating the hell out of Manchester United fans back in April.

The most intriguing bit in this season's fixture list-reveal was the fact that the return leg of the Milan derby will take place two weeks from the end of the season. A potential title-decider for one of them, or possibly both.

I just find it incredibly bizarre that the first round draw is 'fixed' to be favourable towards the big teams. Why have seeded teams for a fixture draw for the league?
