Who will lift the trophy in Spain?

Hungover from watching an arguably boring stalemate of a CL final? Well, you can stop painting black stripes on your Liverpool shirt and flip to La Liga, as Spain's finest attempt to seize the trophy nobody seemed to want a few weeks ago. Here's how it stacks up for the top four (all playing at home this weekend) as we head into the remaining three games of the campaign:

1. Real Madrid - 69 pts (lead Barca on head to head record)
5/26 - Deportivo la Coruna (13th) 2pm ET GolTV
6/10 - @ Zaragoza (5th)
6/17 - Mallorca (11th)

Los Merengues find themselves controlling their destiny. If they win out and capture 9 points out of a possible nine, the league will be theirs, the first bit of silver for the Spanish giants in four years. All the momentum seem to be with them, given the return of key players from injury and perhaps improved fitness have seen them win eight of the last nine. Defensively, they've shown some fallibility though, with five goals shipped in the last two matches.

2. Barcelona - 69 pts
5/26 - Getafe (8th) 4 pm ET GolTV
6/10 - Espanyol (12th)
6/17 - @ Gimnastic (20th)

The Blaugrana have arguably the easiest schedule going into the final weeks. It is important to remember that Getafe are the team that thoroughly dismantled Barca 4-0 in the Copa del Rey semi-final and are still mathematically shooting for a UEFA Cup spot for next year. Barca should see some healthy competition from their city rivals Espanyol, but don't count on Nastic doing anything.

3. Sevilla - 67 pts
5/27 - Zaragoza (5th) - 3 pm ET GolTV
6/10 - @ Mallorca (11th)
6/17 - Villareal (7th)

Sevilla have their hands full with Zaragoza this weekend, who are keen to secure a place in next year's UEFA Cup. While a match at Mallorca won't get the blood boiling, they close this year's campaign against Villareal, who have won their last four.

4. Valencia - 65 pts
5/26 - Villareal (7th) 12 pm ET GolTV
6/10 - @ Levante (16th)
6/17 - Real Sociedad (18th)

Four points off the top of the table, Valencia know their campaign for the title could easily end this weekend as they play away to area rivals Villareal. The remaining two matches shouldn't be too much of a test, but you can't really say their destiny is in their own hands.
