Porto won it's second Portuguese league title on the trot, it's 22 in all, after their home win against Desportivo Aves today. Porto finished the season with 69 points, one ahead of Sporting Lisbon and two clear of Benfica. For the first time in 70 years, three teams had a chance of winning the championship on the final day.

Porto and Sporting qualify automatically into the Champions League, while Benfica will take part in the competition's third qualifying round.
