Italians To Pour $$$ Into The Stadio Olimpico

Italian authorities are set to spend close to $30M on a restructuring project at Rome's Stadio Olimpico. The stadium is set to host the 2009 Champions League final, and after what happened last month during Manchester United's visit, it's not very hard to see why the remodeling is being done.

Upon a closer review of the details, one is struck by the fact that only about 25% of the budget is being allocated to improving safety, while the rest will most likely be spent on beautifying the 70-year-old stadium. Shouldn't a little more money be spent on security?
