Anyone fancy an Arsenal v. Arsenal friendly this summer?

The last of the big four to elude foreign ownership may soon fall to US sports tycoon E. Stanley Kroenke. Kroenke, 59, is co-owner of the NFL's St. Louis Rams and a full owner of:

NBA - Denver Nuggets
NHL - Colorado Avalanche
Arena Football League - Colorado Crush
National Lacrosse League - Colorado Mammoth
MLS - Colorado Rapids

Yes, it looks like the husband of Wal-Mart heir Anne Walton is looking at the US as an opportunity for Arsenal, especially with the prospect of legitimizing his MLS franchise, so much that there is talk of turning the Rapids into an American Arsenal team.

The arrival of Goldenballs to these shores is certainly an opportunity the American billionaire would like to exploit. Arsenal, whose limited stock is not publicy traded in mainstream financial markets, is majority-owned by board of directors. I'm sure we'll be hearing more about this in the upcoming weeks.
