I guess this is what happens when hundreds of your fans tear up the seats in an opponent's stadium and begin hurling them onto the pitch and at the home fans. Bravo to UEFA for finally having the stones to take action against this type of behavior. Here's the skinny:- Immediate disqualification from this season's UEFA Cup, plus any revenue that might bring
- $121,950 fine
- The club must reimburst French side AS Nancy for any repairs made to the Stade Marcel Picot
Feyenoord, for their part, will "look at the verdict and arguments very closely" and then decide what course to take. Supposedly, they can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. I don't think they will, but let's hope they just let it go.
