D'oh!

Just when the opportunity presented itself to put Barcelona under a little pressure, Sevilla goes out and falls asleep at the wheel. The result keeps the league-leaders ahead of Barcelona by three points, but the Catalan giants possess two games in hand. While there is a lot of the season left to play, and having faced a tough Real Zaragoza away from home, Juande Ramos will be disappointed that his side couldn't pick up the three points.

In other matches, Atletico de Madrid secured a point after rarely troubling bottom of the table Gimnastic de Tarragona. The dropped points at home leave Atletico in fifth, one point behind Zaragoza and the last Champions League spot. Real Sociedad scored late and beat their Basque neighbors Osasuna to move within two points of safety. They currently occupy the drop zone with Gimnastic and Real Betis.

Barca, Real Madrid, and Valencia all play tomorrow.
