Issuing a denial of ever working with Real Madrid, Eufemiano Fuentes has now refuted the allegations made against two of the four La Liga sides that were accused of doping earlier this month. He had already come out publicly to issue a denial concerning any work done he had done with Real Betis.
The good doctor's statement on Real Madrid's website goes hand-in-hand with the news that French newspaper Le Monde will issue a retraction concerning the club's involvement with Fuentes. This seems to have come about after a fax was sent from the club to the newspaper saying that legal action was prepared to get underway unless a correction was made to clear the club's name.
As of now, it seems that Barcelona is the only club, of the four originally accused of wrongdoing, seeking redress through the courts.
