The Grab: 12.02.2006

It looks like they get Argentine football on the television over in France. As if PSG didn't have enough to worry about. [International Herald Tribune]

Has Arsene Wenger given up on the Gunners' Premiership campaign, pre-empting the disappointment of the season? Whining doesn't help. Not having the skipper in the North London Derby doesn't either. [Guardian Unlimited, Sky Sports, Times Online]

Despite going to United, I am glad to see Henrik Larsson come to the Premiership in January. We all know he's the real deal, and I'd hate to think his missed penalty in the the WC this year will be what we remember him by. He's won pretty up every piece of meaningful silver outside of England, and it'll be interesting to see if he can be the next Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for Sir Alex Ferguson, and he's not cup-tied too boot. Reserve January 21st, when United visit the Emirates and Larsson meets Arsenal for the first time since knocking them out of the Champions League Final in May. [Telegraph]

That photo you posted with your earlier post about Larsson, with him in his Barca kit, made me nostalgic for his times in Spain. We loved him so much, but still he was determined to leave. I hope that he scores lots of goals and the ManU faithful come to love him too, but just like the Celtic and Barca supporters they'll have to live with the pain of him leaving - sooner rather than later in their case.

It's going to be great watching him while he's playing in England though. With the amount of Prem matches we get here, it'll be nice to see him every other weekend or so.
