Boo Hoo, Everyone's Against Us

What do you do when you things aren't going your way? You blame the world at large, naturally. Juventus Defender Jonathan Zebina, channeling his inner Tupac, said as much today when it was revealed that Pavel Nedved was handed a five-match ban for being sent off last Friday against Genoa.

Coach Didier Deschamps had this say: "I did not think the punishment for Pavel would be so harsh. What do I think? I have decided to count to 10 before I say anything, but I am sure that the club will appeal against the decision."

Five games? I guess that's what straight red cards after stamping on an opponent are going for these days. Did I mention that Nedved berated the official before then stepping on him as well? The club is planning to appeal the decision. [Channel 4]
