The FA have charged Hammers boss Alan Pardew and Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger for "aggressive and confrontational behavior" on the touchline during the Gunners 1-0 loss to West Ham at Upton Park.
While it's arguable as to whether Pardew overcelebrated (wouldn't you if you were him and just went one up on Arsenal?), it's pretty clear that Wenger didn't handle the whole situation well. But really, why does the FA chose to make an example of this? If they can't stop people from flinging coins and various missiles at players on the pitch, not to mention their inability in controlling their own nonsense-spewing England fans, why should they be involved with this now?
A fine probably won't hurt Wenger, and there's really no point in fining Pardew. Leave it alone, I say. A showing of emotion like this won't have a detrimental effect on anything, especially considering it was essentially two skinny chicks going at it.

Gasp! Gazza in trouble again? Apparently the former England legend, who seems to be continually troubled by the drink, assaulted a photographer at a Kensington club frequented by the Princes William and Harry. And, he apparently hurled "racist" abuse at the victim, calling him a "black ****". Now, I'm quite experienced with the usage of four-letter words, and I'm not sure how that's racist. Just as Aragones, wasn't Gazza merely at a loss for modifiers, so he used "black" as an adjective? I mean, if I get my ass beat by a "fat ****", am I being sizeist?

It's hard to believe that Sir Alex's side couldn't manage to even draw with Southend, especially given the surprising list of names playing in the league cup match, notably Wazza, Ronaldo and, er, Darren Fletcher. It's not really that surprising when a big club gets eliminated by a minnow, but when the cup-holders bow out this early, against the "Shrimpers" no less, it's gotta be a little painful. Other League Cup matches today.

It's just not the Magpies year. When was it their year? The last time they won the first division (before the Premier League) was 1927, their last FA Cup Final was in 1999. If you count the
Intertoto Cup, why would you? Newcastle United lose 1/2 of their strikers with Shola Ameobi potentially out for the remained or the season.
