Did you really think we'd let a day go by without posting a picture of Roberto Mancini in the dugout? He looks a little frustrated here, maybe worrying about the new shampoo he's trying out. Yeah, probably not.
But he's not the only one in Italy with problems these days. Alberto Zaccheroni faced his old club on Saturday and came out on the wrong end of a severe beating in front of the home fans. While his team was booed off the field, Zaccheroni's problems were coming to a boil yesterday morning before the match. Torino's President Urbano Cairo confessed that it had been a mistake to replace Gianni De Biasi with Zaccheroni three days before the start of the season. Who could have envisioned things playing out this way? Oh, it seemed like such a good idea at the time, right Urbano? Where this train wreck goes next is anyone's guess.
Going into the international break, Roma and Palermo are joint leaders with 12 points. Inter stumbled into second place today, leaving them one point back. There's a trailing group of five clubs at 8 points. Milan are stuck on 3 while Lazio, Reggina, and Fiorentina continue to be in negative territory at the bottom of the table.
