The Grab Bag: Monday

Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy considered moving the north London club to the upcoming Olympic Stadium (if it doesn't incur a Wembley-esque construction), but sporting director Damien Comolli claims the track surrounding the planned stadium isn't what Spurs are looking for. I personally think it'd be a nice touch of Argentina for Tevez and Mascherano, but it won't be finished before the January transfer window. [Sporting Life]

Thought Fulham was going down and Chris Coleman would get the axe? It still may happen, but the Welshman's gotta be thinking it's better to be him than eyebrowless Simpson character Iain Dowie, who has somehow made Alan Curbishly look like a genius. Charlton go down to Harrod's United, and sit bottom of the table. One win and seven losses? Perhaps Steve Bruce will have some competition next year when Dowie returns to the Irn-Bru league. [Independent]

Soccer Federations: Who do FIFA think they are? The United States? Rumor is that Sepp Blatter is currently proposing a mandatory uniform consisting of pasties and fig leaf for women's soccer to draw attention from an impending coup. [TVNZ]

Shades of TH14? Check out Theo Walcott's goals for the England U-21 team. Gooners around the world keep their fingers crossed and try not to think of Francis Jeffers. [SoccerBlog]

With Wazza not himself, Lord Ferguson turns to the old-age pensioners of Old Trafford. [Telegraph]

Struggling Real Madrid team meet up with an Eto'o-less Barca (like that matters), but it's not the match-up it used to be. Start Becks (no, not really), I say, and take a lot of dives in front of the box. [Goal.com]

Darren Fletcher dropped the bombshell that he rejected an och-aye pint-load of clubs before coming to Old Trafford. I've gotta say I'm pretty suprised, especially since he would've fit in wonderfully at Newcastle. Then again, Jean-Alain Boumsong isn't there anymore. [Tribal Football]

. . . and more on the D-Bag and Lazio's takeover drama. [Guardian]

I think the Real-Barca game might be a good one depending on what result Real get in their Champions League game. If they somehow manage to lose, then it'll be like last season. If not, we could be in for a more even game.

I agree, and I'd like to see Robinho given a start on Saturday. Enjoy the match!
