Five In A Row For The Old Lady

Alessandro Del Piero didn't get his 200th goal for Juventus yesterday, but the team did win to get within 16 points of Serie B leaders Genoa. Juve do have a game in hand, which will come in handy as the season rolls on. Didier Deschamps had this to say after the win:
"The break definitely affected the team's performance this evening, with nine of our players dotted around Europe with their respective international teams. We were up against an aggressive Treviso outfit and we had some trouble, particularly in the first 20 minutes. We also had a bit of luck tonight, but that's just part of the game."
Juve's fifth straight victory saw them leapfrog Arezzo at the foot of the table as they moved to -1 points. With a decision concerning their point deduction due before the end of the month, Deschamps' men could be scaling the heights of the other end of Serie B sooner than later. Next Saturday they travel east to Trieste to take on Triestina. [CNN]
