Allons enfants de la Patrie

Over at EPL Talk, The Gaffer's got the lowdown on new episodes of GolTV's Soccer Academy. BL vouches for the series, go give it a look. Check out the listings at GolTV for more info. [EPL Talk and GolTV]

In other eye-numbing news:
Some of you might have seen this already, but go check out Gary Lineker interviewing Diego Maradona about that "game" from way back when. If Lineker's tone is anything to go by, I guess cheating is never OK in England. "In England, that would be regarded as cheating..." Give me an effen break. [SoccerBlog]

I've come across this post over at Soccernista. I quite enjoy the Daily Show and didn't think about it at the time much. I think Garth has a point about making sure that we all remember what happened that day. [Soccernista]

----------

BL has got the Champions League covered. These are the other games of note on TV through Sunday:

Thursday
Besiktas v. Tottenham

Can Spurs get their crap together and get a result in a country none-to-hospitable to English clubs?

Saturday
Werder Bremen v. Bayern Munich

GolTV

Catch this one if you want to see two clubs that have a bit of bad blood between them.

Chelsea v. Portsmouth
9:45am ET, LIVE

Pompey gets to prove that they're real contenders this season.

Sunday
Manchester United v. Liverpool

Speaking of bad blood.

Can Inter put a little daylight between them and one of their pursuers?

Reading v. Arsenal
11:00am ET, LIVE

FOX Soccer Channel

Coppell's men get to show if they learned anything from their games against Man u and Chelsea. Maybe Lehmann should wear a helmet for this one.

Tottenham v. West Ham United
1:00pm ET, Same Day Delay

FOX Soccer Channel

Will Pardew finally get a little breathing room?

AC Milan v. Palermo
2:30pm ET, LIVE

If you don't mind watching it in Italian, this could be a pretty good game.

Marseille v. Lyon
2:55pm ET, LIVE

Setanta Sports USA

If Marseille want to hold out any chance of contending for the title, they have to get three points from this one.

Real Madrid v. Barcelona
3:00pm ET, LIVE

GolTV / World Sport HD

El Gran Clasico at the Bernabeu, do you think they'll applaud Ronnie again? I'm jealous of those who get to see this one in HiDef.

Racing Club v. Boca Juniors

FOX Soccer Channel / FOX Sports en Espanol
Another big match for La Volpe. Three points are vital here, for both clubs.

Sporting v. Porto
3:30pm ET, LIVE

Radio Televisao Portuguesa Internacional (RTPi)

Two of Portugal's 'Big Three' face off in Lisbon. Look for some high, crunching tackles in the first ten minutes of this one.

TeleFutura

Two of the most well supported clubs in Mexico face off at the Azteca.

Feyenoord v. Ajax

With three matches to play in the Colombian championship, Pasto travels to Medellin to take on co-leader Atletico. Pasto is only two points back.

I love the Daily Show, and I know that Jon is a massive soccer fan, so I'm not sure what happened there. Oops.

Wow, there are a lot of top of the table clashes or bitter rivals playing each other this weekend. Insane.

That's right Linda, but of course the biggie in Madrid will have my heart all a'twitter on Sunday.
