Champions League Match Day 1: The Aftermath

My UEFA Champions League Player of the Week: Fernando Morientes

Who would have thought that this former CL winner, after being discarded by Rafa Benitez, still had it in him to score an away hat-trick this week? The Valencia striker has formed a dangerous partnership with Spanish international David Villa, making the La Liga side one to watch out for this season.

We start with the most important tidbit first, from then on it's in no particular order:

Hi there, I found this page while checking for incoming links to Soccer-Weblog.

Very proud to be considered an important tidbit, thank you.

Wanted to propose a link exchange with S-W, since anyone reading The Fiver in America must be my kind of people. (I also recommend F365's Mediawatch if you're not already familiar.)

Anyway, I'm adding Soccer Mad In America to the S-W blogroll. Keep up the good work!
